A team of engineers from Tethys has been developing a new patented technology to collect clean, unused water which is lost in everyday water use in basins and sinks.

This technology collects quantities of clean, unused water which are wasted when the tap is left running in the intervals between uses, e.g. when washing hands, shaving, brushing teeth or when waiting for the hot water to come. In such cases, the water which is necessary for these uses is significantly less than that consumed in total from uses.

A smart system

The collection of clean water is achieved by exploiting the kinetic energy of a column of tap water in the opening of a fin and gill apparatus. Through a stable hydraulic circuit and with an equilibrium of liquids, clean water may pass through while used water cannot pass.

The total quantity of clean water saved is 75% of the total amount of water consumed in everyday use.

This means practically a saving of 40,000 liters of clean water annually for a family of four using fin technology.

No, fin is ready to be installed. We only need to open it if we want to clean it (see Installation manual -Cleaning)
Check if:
• The appliance does not collect water and runs water from the water flow switch (F).
• The water column does not run into the device’s inlet.
• The flexible hose (E) has been folded to a point.
• No proper water flow (clogged tap filter). Put the filter on the package.
• The components have not assembled correctly (A, B, C, D).
• The tank is full, and the water collection stops prevent overflow.
Of course, it is possible. Hold the water switch (F) firmly and rotate the flexible hose (E) inside the sink by 180° (see Installation manual- First installation)
Not necessarily if your filter is clean. However, with the use of the filter, which is included in the package, you will have a non-aerated, smooth natural flow of water to your tap, ensuring greater ease and maximum performance at fin’s operation.
Adjust the valves located under the sink so when your tap is completely open the water column of the tap to be in the desired point- fin’s inlet.
Of course, to clean the device, open it by rotating the device shell (A) counterclockwise until the two slots in the shell (A) and the bottom of the base (D) coincide. Then pull the device shell (A) upwards. To close the device, follow the reverse procedure.

Clean the device with a damp cloth.

Never use wire sponge, hard cleaners or high acidity fluids.
